Your advisor
Founder, Widrick Collective · Executive Director, The Bridge House
"I don't want to be your consultant. I want to be the person you call when things get hard — and when things go right."
With more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership, I founded The Bridge House — Wilson County's first transitional housing program for children in foster care and young adults aging out of the system. I know what it's like to build from nothing, manage a board, fight for funding, and lead a team through hard seasons.
I also serve as Director of the Tennessee Foster Care Network for the Assemblies of God, and as Missions and Outreach Pastor at Connect Church.
I'm not advising from the sidelines. I'm in the trenches every day — and I want to bring everything I've learned into your corner.

Where we focus
🔒 I take a small number of Executive Advisory partners at a time. That limit is deliberate — it is what makes the responsiveness above a promise I can actually keep.
Leading an organization that rallies the community around vulnerable children and families requires a unique temperament and talent. It’s an incredible joy to watch John demonstrate the leadership qualities necessary to be successful at both the mission and strategic levels. Through his kindness, wisdom, and skill, John builds the trust necessary to engage the best of our community to do great things.

Kathleen JansonFounder & Executive Director, The One Child
John Widrick is a leader who asks “How can we move the needle in a meaningful way?” and then supports his team to do so. His consistent encouragement has made an impact on me as he’s led the partnership between our organizations.
Evan McBroomFounder & Executive Director, Teamness
What I admire most about John is that he sees beyond budgets, strategies, and organizational charts. He sees people. He listens well, encourages faithfully, and brings practical guidance grounded in integrity. He is the kind of leader every nonprofit hopes to have in their corner.
